Welcome to Homegenii. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Homegenii mobile application, progressive web application, websites, and related services operated by Homegenii (“Homegenii,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

Age Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Service under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. The Service is not intended for children under 13.
Registration: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@homegenii.app of any unauthorized use.

2. Households & Shared Content

Shared Workspace: Homegenii operates through shared "Households." Joining or inviting others to a Household shares lists, tasks, recipes, calendars, and family updates with the members of that Household. You should only invite people you trust.
Collective Data: Data added to a shared Household is collaborative. By adding content (tasks, shopping items, calendar events), you grant other members of that Household the right to access, edit, assign, or delete that content.

3. AI Assistant & Integrations

AI Disclaimer: The Homegenii AI Assistant uses advanced language models to propose actions. AI-generated proposals can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all proposed actions before executing them. The AI Assistant is not a licensed medical, legal, or financial professional.
Third-Party Integrations: The Service connects with third-party platforms (such as Google Calendar). Your use of these integrations is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or data practices of third-party platforms.

4. Service Changes & Availability

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

5. Billing, Subscriptions, & Refunds

Paid Services: Some features may require a paid subscription. Prices and billing terms will be disclosed prior to purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
Refund Policy: Except as required by applicable consumer law (such as the 14-day withdrawal period for EU/UK consumers), payments are non-refundable.

6. Intellectual Property

Our IP: All software, design, logos, graphics, and trade dress associated with Homegenii are the exclusive property of Homegenii. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our intellectual property.
Your License to Us: You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, cache, and transmit your content solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service.

7. Termination & Effects of Termination

Suspension: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion if we determine you have violated these Terms or present a security threat.
Data Recovery: Upon termination or voluntary account deletion, your personal profile and private assistant history are deleted. Collaborative household data (such as shared chores and past calendar history) will remain with your attribution removed to preserve operational continuity for other household members.

8. Limitation of Liability & Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Homegenii and its affiliates, officers, employees, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

LIABILITY CAP: IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00).

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any disputes arising out of them shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in San Francisco, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable local laws (including consumer protection laws in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Australia). If you are a consumer residing in these jurisdictions, you may benefit from additional protections.
